The prayer, The Hail Mary is one of the best known and best loved in the Catholic Church. The first page of the booklet starts with the first phrase of the prayer, Hail Mary, and tells of how God chooses Mary to be the mother of Jesus. The following pages continue with the next phrases of the prayer and use paraphrased scripture passages to explain the phrase and why we say those words in the prayer. Each phrase also has a beautiful picture by William Luberoff which further illustrates the meaning of the phrase of the prayer being referenced. This booklet will be the perfect way for teachers, parents or religious education teachers to help children learn the prayer. The additional information or explanation presented with each phrase gives a richer and deeper meaning to each part of the prayer. Parishes may wish to have a few of these booklets available for members to use when praying especially when saying the rosary which is composed almost exclusively of this special prayer.
