These are practical Irish cotton towels made of 100% unbleached cotton so are more ivory color than a pure white. This gives them an honest homespun look with the embroidered design on each towel. The embroidered shamrock designs on each Irish cotton towel measure approximately 6”W x 6-3/4”H on the generous 18”W x 27”H full towel surface.
The different embroidered shamrock design on each Irish cotton towel is an artful Celtic knot work style with no beginning or ending. The Irish legacy of Celtic knot work has a spiritual base reflecting no beginning or ending to God. Early monks continued this practice in the Book of Kells and other illuminated manuscripts. The color of the embroidery thread is in perfect harmony with the cotton fabric of the Irish cotton towel. There is a border line in the green embroidery thread as well. To clean, simply machine wash in cold and tumble dry on low. Makes a great gift for any home with a love of the Irish.
