Thirty letters are presented that were chosen from many submitted by children from around the world and contain topics that range from funny to serious to heartbreaking including "If God loves us so much why didn't he defeat the devil? Will my non-Catholic grandfather go to heaven?". Pope Francis addresses the questions, struggles and concerns from these children because he feels children need and deserve to know and feel God's love for them.
Information about the children along with their pictures and reproductions of their handwritten letters are found on one page and the Pope's respectful and honest answers are found across from the letters. Querido PaPa Francisco has been called a "uniquely candid project that reveals curiosities, dreams and insecurities of contemporary children and offers comfort and advice from a Catholic perspective". It is a hardcover book with 72 pages and recommended for children 6 years of age and up.
