The design of this Claddagh ring features a heart made of Connemara marble, known as “Ireland’s gemstone,” that sits on a sterling silver weave band. Made in Ireland, the Claddagh ring is hallmarked in the Assay Office at Dublin Castle. The Connemara marble heart is made with authentic Irish marble coming from the Joyce family mine in Connemara, County Galway. Available sizes include 5, 6 – 9-1/2, including half sizes except for size 5.
Connemara Marble, featured in this Claddagh ring, is referred to as "Ireland's Gemstone". Being a unique and rare form of marble, the color is only found in valley of the 12 Bens in Connemara, the heart of the West of Ireland. This beautiful marble, estimated to be over 900 million years old, gets its range of green color tones from the various natural elements only found in the limestone in this remote and rugged region on Irelands Atlantic Coast. Paired with the Irish hallmarked sterling silver, this Claddagh ring shares the love from one heart to another.
