Product DescriptionThe Way of the Cross, by Fulton J. Sheen, offers meditations on the Stations of the Cross which he first prepared for Palm Sunday in 1932. This 64 page booklet is a complete program of personal devotion as well as for public worship. Dedicated to Mary, The Way of the Cross begins with a prayer. Each station begins with the same four line prayer that is followed by a reflection. A short prayer follows with a longer prayer ending that station's meditation. A black and white photograph of each station is printed on the opening page of the meditation.
The author of The Way of the Cross has a two-fold purpose in offering it in printed form. First, he hoped to inspire a flaming love in the soul of the readers for the Crucified Christ, who through His passion and death, revealed to us that it is only through the Cross that we are ever ushered into glory and eternal life. Secondly, he hopes The Way of the Cross readers say a prayer for him as they meditate on the great love of Our Lord for sinners.
