Product Details
While much about St. Olivia of Palermo is based on legend, this medal necklace celebrates her spirit beautifully. Born to a noble Sicilian family, she was very beautiful and fell captive to Muslims for slavery when she was just 13 years old. They took her to Tunis where miracles happened by her hand which converted many Muslims to Christianity. However, her captors began to fear her spiritual power and abandoned her in the forest where she lived as a hermitess in a cave. The St. Olivia medal necklace is made of sterling silver and is about 7/8" high by 5/8" wide. The 18" chain is made of surgical stainless steel to prevent tarnishing and corrosion.
The front of the St. Olivia medal necklace depicts her holding a dove along with the words "Saint Olivia Pray for Us" around the edge. Consider adding text to the blank medal back with something personal to make your gift unique by having a local jeweler engrave it. The St. Olivia medal necklace comes on an 18 inch chain with clasp closure; perfect for most women and girls. Packaged in a deluxe gift box.

Joining baptismal names with First Communicants is a fitting way to align the sacraments. Being a Child of God requires growth to maturity as life progresses. A patron saint can keep the goal line in focus for those developing a deeper relationship with Christ.
