Mother Teresa will be canonized in September of 2016 and will be known as St. Teresa of Calcutta. This holy card celebrates her canonization and the amazing work she did with the poor and forgotten in the slums of Calcutta. The holy card features an image of Mother Teresa with her hands folded while holding a rosary on the front of the card and a "Prayer of Saint Teresa of Calcutta" on the back. The holy card measures 2-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches and is laminated so will withstand a lot of use and wear. It is a perfect size to carry in a billfold, wallet, or purse.
The prayer on the back of the card thanks God for the example of Mother Teresa, thanks Mother Teresa for her compassionate work which exemplified her love of and union with God, and thanks God for her generosity while asking for help to follow the Gospel message as she did. The image of Mother Teresa with her wrinkled face and gnarled hands testifies to the hardships she endured while ministering to some of the poorest people in the world. She was awarded the Nobel Peace prize for the work she and the order she established accomplished.
