This beautiful prayer card commemorates St. Gertrude the Great who was a 13th century mystic in the Catholic Church. She was a Benedictine nun in Helfta, Saxony in Germany and lived into nuptial mysticism meaning she saw herself as the bride of Christ. This prayer card honoring her measures 2-5/8 by 4-3/8 inches so is easy to keep and carry in a purse or billfold. It is laminated so is quite durable and can take a lot of use. Featuring artwork of Saint Gertrued the Great holding a bouquet, there are words at the top that read, “O Lord, I offer Thee this work…”. An image of roses in green tones is found on the front while the back has a prayer to St. Gertrude the Great.
