The Saint Dymphna necklace makes a nice gift for anyone suffering from anxiety disorders or mental illness. She is a Christian martyr who was killed by her father after he fell under evil influences when his wife died. Dymphna escaped from him at first by traveling with Fr. Gerebernus to Belgium and starting a hospital for the sick and poor. Her father eventually found her and in a fit of rage, beheaded her at age 15. People who visited her tomb that suffered from epilepsy and mental illness were cured. Her feast day is May 15. The Saint Dymphna medal measures 5/8"W x 1”H and the necklace comes with a 18" silvertone chain. The length of the 18" chain is preferred by most girls and adult women.
The front of the Saint Dymphna medal necklace says, “Saint Dymphna Pray for US” and the back of the medal is blank. A laminated Saint Dymphna prayer card is included that shows her holding a book.
