St. Bridget is one of the beloved patron saints of Ireland who never married and went out to the people in service. This St. Bridget medal shows her in profile from the waist up holding a cross on her heart. "St. Bridget Pray for Us" is around the top of the oval. A jump ring is included even though it is not shown in our photo. The tiny cross made of rushes is said to be her cross and is made to this day in Ireland and placed in rafters of cottages to ward off harm.
