Product Description
St. Angela was born in 1474 in Italy. At the age of 10, her parents died, and she and her sister were left orphans. She joined the Third Order of St. Francis at age 15 and devoted much of her life to giving young girls a good Christian education. Later in her life, she founded the Ursuline order which is also known as the Company of St. Ursula. St. Angela's feast day is January 27 and she is the patron saint of sickness, handicapped people, and loss of parents.
This oval shaped 3/4" high St. Angela medal is made from the finest sterling silver and comes on an 18" surgical stainless steel chain with a clasp. The 18" chain is a great length for most women and children age 7 and older. Patron saint medals are especially popular for First Communion and Confirmation, and the blank backside allows for personalized engraving.
