Many people who have a devotion to Mary often wear what is called a Miraculous Medal also known as the Immaculate Conception medal. The medal features an image of Mary encircled by words which read "Mary conceived without sin Pray for us who have recourse to thee". This Miraculous Medal has the traditional oval shape and measures 3/4" long. It is made of sterling silver and comes with a rhodium plated 18" chain making the medal a perfect size for women to wear. The image on the Miraculous Medal shows Mary standing on a globe with her hands outstretched and rays, symbolizing her grace, coming from her hands down on to anyone who asks for her help.
