Our St. Benedict of Nursia medal represents one of Christendom's most influential monks. His teachings and holy example lead Europe out of the chaos following the fall of Rome and revitalized Christian devotion. He also founded many monastic communities and created the Rule of St. Benedict which is still used by religious orders around the world. This silver oxidized St. Benedict devotional medal has a picture of Benedict on the front. The back pictures a cross with the letters CSPB, which stand for the Latin words, “Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti.” In translation, this means “The Cross of Our Holy Father Benedict.”
