If you would like to have a lovely cross to hang in the room of a young boy, this rosewood stained cross with its very light red tinge will be one you may wish to consider. The cross is made by the Salerni Co. in Italy which has long been noted for its fine woodworking. Measuring 5 inches high, the smaller size of the cross is perfect for the room of a baby or child. The cross features a smaller gold cross inlaid in the rosewood over which the silverplated figure of a little boy kneeling in prayer and holding a bouquet of flowers is found. The rosewood, gold and silver colors blend together beautifully and give a unique look to the cross.
The beveled edges of the cross and the details on the figure of the little boy are an example of the detailing for which Salerni is noted. This furniture grade, hand finished cross gives you the traditional image of the cross but the little figure of the boy gives the cross a gentler appearance.
