The Book of Blessings contains blessings of Roman ritual for the Universal Church and prayer blessings for use in the United States. The book is a hardcover book with durable binding so the book can be used over and over again. The text is in easy to read red and black with red text instructions and black spoken text. The "Introduction" gives a history of blessings, when they are used and how to celebrate the occasion of a blessing. The "Contents" lists in convenient divisions all the areas for which blessings are presented in the book.
The Book of Blessings covers a multitude of topics from missionaries, to family, to victims of crimes, to animals, to buildings and to things in buildings. A convenient alphabetical listing lets you find quickly and easily the specific blessing for which you are looking. Two ribbon markers allow you to mark favorite blessings or to mark ahead of time the blessings you will be using in the blessing ceremony.
