St. Patrick's Guild offers the original version of the First Name plaque that some families made a tradition for 2, 3 or even 4 generations! Each First Name plaque is handcrafted with poplar wood and measures 9-1/4"W x 5-1/4"H. A hanging hook is provided on the top; a keyhole is carved in the back for hanging, too.

There is a database of over 20,000 names that include the literal meaning, the character quality of the name and a specific scriptural verse that illustrates the name's meaning or quality. This information is presented on parchment paper that is bonded to the wood with multiple coats of lacquer for lasting durability.

The history of the First Name plaque begins with a Minnesota ministry that rehabilitated drug addicts in the 1970's. The goal was to motivate each addict to live into the potential that God placed in them as revealed through their first name. The plaques developed over time and became a product line that eventually was purchased by a couple who maintains the same prayer today: "May this First Name plaque be a blessing in the life of the person whose name appears on the plaque."

Our personalized First Name plaque is just the thing for your next religious event, whether a Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, or birthday! Any name, male or female, can be used for the personalized First Name plaque. First Name plaques must be pre-paid and are NON-RETURNABLE.

You may choose a custom Name Meaning, Character Quality or Bible verse to be used on the First Name plaque. We suggest staying within 15-25 words (including spaces) for best results with the verse. Size of lettering will be reduced the more words you have in order to fit the space. Please call our Customer Service Angels: 1-800-652-9767 to add to your order.
