Each Family Name plaque is handcrafted with poplar wood and measures 9-1/4"W x 7-3/4"H. A hanging hook is provided on the top; a keyhole is carved in the back for hanging, too.
The verse of Joshua 24:15 is printed on each Family Name plaque. It reads, "Choose you this day whom ye will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." The family name and verse is printed on parchment paper that is bonded to the wood with multiple coats of lacquer for lasting durability.
The history of the Name plaques begins with a Minnesota ministry that rehabilitated drug addicts in the 1970's. The goal was to motivate each addict to live into the potential that God placed in them as revealed through their name.
