Each olive wood rosary is made in Bethlehem by Christian craftsmen by taking the pruned olive tree branches and carving them with simple tools. This carving tradition dates back to the time of the Crusades when artists from Europe settled in Bethlehem.

The skilled Bethlehem craftsmen infuses spiritual significance into each olive wood rosary. The length is approximately 21" with a metal crucifix that is handsome and ornate in design. The centerpiece measures 5/8" with the Bethlehem soil on the front side with the words, "Terra Jerusalem" written in capital letters above and below the contained soil. Mary and baby Jesus are shown on the back. There are five decades with truly beautiful, oval olive wood beads that are lightweight. A powerful gift for any Catholic.
