Ireland is a mystical island with a tremendous spiritual legacy. This Irish ornament celebrates the beloved Emerald Isle with her famous Celtic knot work around the word "Ireland" along with a shamrock above and below it. Kelly green surrounds this motif as a background, with the pattern repeated 4 times around this "Celtic bauble". This Irish ornament is made with a Victorian craft technique called "decoupage" where paper cut outs are applied to the surface and then covered with as many layers of varnish it takes to achieve a completely smooth finish. That creates this handsome ornament appropriate for year round display.
On top of the Irish ornament is a bow made of Kelly green ribbon and the hanging ribbon has "Ireland" printed in gold with a gold shamrock in between the words.
