God Calling, by two anonymous authors who call themselves The Listeners, is a collection of words the authors believe were given to them daily by God, the Great Friend, and those words were put together in this book edited by A.J. Russell.
The authors were told they were to be channels of love, joy, and laughter in the broken world today. A short introduction at the beginning of God Calling tells a little about the two authors, how the messages found in the book for daily reading came about and talks about how living those messages was a struggle. But they were always told they would not be given more than they could handle, and that God was with them as they struggled to live the words, He gave them. There is a short message for each day of the year and each message has a title that refers to the words in the message. The messages are short and can be read in a small period of time and the book is small enough to carry with you.
