Product Details
This is a stunning wall cross to give a boy or girl for their First Holy Communion. Made by Joseph Studio who is noted for their fine attention to detailing, the First Communion wall cross is made of a sturdy and durable resin and stone mix and measures 6-7/8 inches high, 5-1/4 inches wide and 3/8 inch deep. The First Communion cross design has a smaller cross set within another and both are outlined in gold. The center of the cross features symbols of Communion which include a chalice with a raised host, which also has a cross and is outlined in gold, with wheat and grapes arrayed behind the chalice. The chalice and wheat and grapes are done in darker tones of gold, purple and green which stand out nicely against the cream colored background of the cross.
The First Communion wall cross perfectly displays the elements of Communion that Jesus instituted at the Last Supper with the grapes and wheat as the symbols of the bread and wine he offered them to "take and eat and drink". The cross commemorates their participating in taking and eating and drinking for the first time in Holy Communion. The First Communion wall cross comes ready to hang and is gift boxed.
