Just as when they have hurt a friend or family member and they say they are sorry, so they tell Jesus they are sorry for the sins they have committed.The child is also encouraged to take part in the Mass by paying attention, saying the response prayers and receiving Communion. The book would be a good resource book for children in a religious education class as the steps in taking part in the Sacraments of Confession and Communion are presented clearly and in a manner children can easily understand.
