This beautiful Italian corpus is made in Val Gardena, Italy. They are imported to offer you exquisite, hand carved wood artistry that expresses the heart of the Catholic faith. This Italian “Siena” wood corpus has a light stained cross that measures twelve inches high. The carving is made from select soft Alpine wood that is given much time to cure before carving. Contemporary works are carved with innovation that is rooted in traditional carving methods passed down from generation to generation. Notice that the INRI is separate and is in gold along with the lining of cloth on Jesus. Blue is the other color of Jesus’ cloth which harmonizes with the light wood and warm browns on His face.
The Italian wood corpus has a small area on the back of Jesus’ cloth that is flat for attaching to a cross purchased separately. Many people love to make their own cross and then purchase a corpus and INRI to finish it off. This Siena corpus and INRI are perfect for that project. With the Alpine wood being lightweight, no worries of the corpus being too heavy to hang safely on a cross. - Within 90 days of purchase date, your product may be returned to St. Patrick's Guild with a receipt for exchange or refund.
