This handcrafted Irish shamrock wall plaque is a pictorial mosaic representing the Trinity. Legend says that the three leafed shamrock was used by St. Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity when he brought Christianity to Ireland in the 5th Century A.D. Ever since, March 17th is celebrated as St. Patrick's Day. This Irish Shamrock carving is made by a process known as Intarsia, which is the ancient art of making pictorial mosaics by laying precious and exotic woods onto a solid wood surface. Seven different woods are used to make this Celtic designs. Originally designed in Galway, Ireland by Irish artisans, this piece is then made in China to keep costs down.
Measuring 5-3/4”W x 6”H, the Irish Shamrock wall plaque is a beautiful array of wood tones ranging from deep walnut brown to a blonde wood color. There is a shamrock placed in the center of the entire shamrock wall plaque design.
