St Timothy was a first century Christian Bishop who is venerated as an apostle, saint, and martyr. St. Timothy was mentored by St. Paul and became his traveling partner after Paul was so impressed with St. Timothy's knowledge of scripture. Together, St. Paul and St. Timothy traveled together through Phrygia, Galatia, Mysia, Troas, Philippi, Veria, and Corinth. When St. Paul was imprisoned it was St. Timothy who acted as Paul's ambassador.
