This stunning cross features Mother Teresa or St. Teresa of Calcutta as she will be known when she is canonized in September of 2016. The wood cross is made in Italy and is laser engraved which gives a dimensional appearance to the cross. A color image of Mother Teresa is in the center of the cross with a branch of olive leaves flowing across the bottom. A lighter colored wood outlines the cross and emphasizes the image of Mother Teresa found in the center. The words "Saint Teresa of Calcutta Pray for us" are found on the lower section of the cross in red and blue letters. A small opening is found at the top of the cross making it ready to hang upon receipt.
Note some of the other special details found on the cross such as the rosary in her hands, the crucifix attached to her shoulder and, especially, her gnarled hands which took care of so many poor and forgotten people in the slums of Calcutta. St. Teresa of Calcutta did most of her work in Calcutta but she is one of the most recognized people worldwide, known for the charitable order she founded and the incredible work she and her fellow nuns do with the poor for which she was awarded the Nobel Peace prize.
