The badge-style medal on our Saint Sebastian necklace is designed for athletes specifically. This Saint Sebastian athletes medal is crafted from the finest sterling silver and measures 1-1/2”H and adorned with Christ on the top of a winged cross with Saint Sebastian the in the center of the medal. Saint Sebastian was an early Christian martyr. Legend has it that he was sentenced to death by arrows. The arrows failed to kill him and after his miraculous recovery, he was sentenced to death by clubbing. He is the patron saint of athletes, archery, funeral directors, gardeners, potters, iron, and lead workers. The medal hangs on a 24" surgical stainless steel chain. The 24" chain is designed to slip over the head and fits most men and teen boys.
The front of this handsome Saint Sebastian medal on the necklace depicts him in the traditional manner with arrows in his body with a winged cross and then Sacred Heart Jesus above him. The sides have a stylized floral design. The back of the medal is blank giving you an opportunity to add a date or message.
