Product Details
This holy card dedicated to St. Martin de Porres is a two page card. On the front of the prayer card is an image of St. Martin de Porres shown with a dog at his side while a cat, a bird and a mouse share a bowl of water. The back has a prayer which appeals to St. Martin to help the one praying to live in contentment and try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus as Redeemer and Mary his mother. The inside of the card contains information about the life of St. Martin de Porres where his caring and healing ability are talked about. He became a lay apprentice at an early age at the Dominican Friary of Lima. After some years he was asked to join the order and became known for his compassion and healing not only to the poor but to animals.
The prayer card is made in Italy and features the world renowned artwork of Fratelli-Bonella with gold stamped trim. Along with the biography you find information about his feast day, his name meaning and those to whom he is the patron saint. The card measures 5-3/8 by 3-1/4" so is easy to carry or use as a bookmark.
