Product Details
St. John the Evangelist was the youngest of the apostles and was the only apostle to be with Mary at the time of the Crucifixion where Jesus put Mary under his, John's, care. He is credited with writing one of the four Gospels included in the New Testament and later, in the Apocalypse, he described heavenly visions he received. This holy card, dedicated to him, is a two page card featuring the world famous artwork of Fratelli-Bonella with gold stamped trim. The front of the card has an image of St. John sitting at a desk doing some of the writing which he is said to have done.
The back of the card has a prayer asking St. John to help the one praying to obtain a great love for Jesus and Mary here on earth and to later be united with them in heaven. The inside has a biography of St. John, his feast day, the meaning of his name and the people for whom he is considered a patron saint. The card measures 5-3/8 by 3-1/4 inches so is easy to carry or use as a bookmark in a bible or prayer book. It would be a nice memento to give the young person who has chosen John as his Confirmation name.
