St. Elizabeth of Hungary was known for her vast and abundant charity. She was accused by the family of her husband of squandering the royal treasury on the poor of the land. She was queen of the land but refused to wear her jeweled crown because Jesus worn a crown of thorns. The front of the St. Elizabeth prayer pamphlet has an image of St. Elizabeth carrying a basket of bread symbolizing her constant giving to those less fortunate around her. The back of the pamphlet has a prayer for the widows of the world.
The St. Elizabeth prayer pamphlet is a 2 page pamphlet made in Italy and features world famous Fratelli-Bonello artwork with gold stamped trim. It measures 5-3/8 by 3-1/4 inches so is easy and convenient to carry or use as a bookmark in a prayer book or bible.
