This holy card is dedicated to St. Dominic. Dominic is known as the founder of the Order of Preachers or the Dominican Order. His life was devoted to the conversion of heretics and defense of the Faith. The Rosary has for centuries been the heart of the Dominican Order and St. Dominic is credited with spreading the use of the Rosary during his time. This holy card, dedicated to him, is a two page card featuring the world famous artwork of Fratelli-Bonella with gold stamped trim. The front of the card has an image of St. Dominic in the robes of the Dominican Order. The back has a prayer to him saying he resembled a great star that pointed the way to the Light of Christ as he fought against the darkness of heresy and then asking his blessings for astronomers. The inside has a biography of St. Dominic, his feast day, the meaning of his name and the people for whom he is considered a patron saint. The card measures 5-1/4 by 3-1/8 inches so is easy to carry or use as a bookmark in a bible or prayer book.
