This holy card dedicated to St. Agnes is a two page card. On the front of the prayer card is an image of St. Agnes in the white robes of a virgin. She is holding a lamb of innocence and the palm branch of a martyr. The back of the prayer card has a prayer recognizing the youth and seeming weakness of St. Agnes while asking that the one saying the prayer be constant in faith as was St. Agnes. The inside of the card contains information about the life of St. Agnes who, at the age of 12, refused to offer incense to a Roman goddess. For this she was tortured and eventually killed. The prayer card is made in Italy and features the world renowned artwork of Fratelli-Bonella with gold stamped trim. Along with the biography you find information about St. Agnes's feast day, her name meaning and those to whom she is the patron saint. The prayer card could be given as a sign of encouragement and blessing to the young woman who has chosen Agnes as her Confirmation name. The card measures 5-1/4 by 3-1/8 inches so is easy to carry or use as a bookmark.
