Moms often find it hard to find time for themselves during their busy day and not just for a period of alone time but especially for a period of time in which to spend a few moments with God. Small Steps for Catholic Moms Your Daily Call to Think, Pray, and Act gives women daily meditations which guide them in three ways to come closer to God and to deepen their spirituality. Each day starts with a Think quote from Scripture or a saint. The Pray section has a short prayer relating to the quote. Finally, an action that does not take a lot of time is suggested in the Act section.
The meditations in Small Steps for Catholic Moms are meant to make the small segments of time a mother may have to herself more meaningful, prayerful, and spiritual. The actions range from taking a few minutes to put things away to staying away from a computer to saying a mindful prayer for someone in need. Each month has a theme that is used for the meditations. For instance, the theme for January is Joy, February is Simplicity, March is Sacrifice and so on. The book would be a nice gift to give to a new Mom or to give any Mother for Mother's Day.
