The St. Alexander medal necklace celebrates an early martyr and bishop in the Church. St. Alexander died in 251 AD during the harsh persecution of Emperor Decius. His courage, great learning and solid ecclesiastical positions enabled him to remain steadfast and die for his faith during the persecution. The 7/8"H x 5/8"W sterling silver St. Alexander medal necklace features him riding a horse and holding a staff. The edge includes the words, "Saint Alexander Pray for Us." The 20" stainless steel chain is made to prevcent tarnish and is the preferred chain length for most young boys.
