Product Details
Saint John Bosco was born in Turin, Italy and became a Roman Catholic priest that felt called to educate the poor. To begin, he and his mother offered education and taught trades in a boarding house. When other priests joined him in their efforts, he started the Frances de Sales or Salesian Order. Saint John Bosco was a pioneer in educating the poor in need of skills and training opportunities. The front of the holy card shows Saint John Bosco with a famous quote of his while the back has a prayer asking for guidance in seeking the good of our souls and the salvation of others.
The Saint John Bosco card features a well-known portrait of him as artwork and the back lists him being a patron saint for editors, publishers, youth, school children and apprentices. His Feast Day is January 31. The Saint John Bosco prayer card measures 2-5/8 by 4-3/8 inches so is easy to carry in a purse, wallet or backpack or use as a bookmark in a prayer book or bible. It is laminated to protect the card and to allow the card to be used over and over again.
