The authors are a mother-daughter team from Mendota Heights, MN with an obvious great love of everything Irish. The authors say they wanted to write a Catholic-centered book and include themes such as forgiveness, the joys of a large family and pro-ife. Reviewers praise Running the Cobblestones for the realistic plot, the "delightful and dimensional characters" the stunning descriptions of Ireland, the humor and the intrigueing "Irish lingo". Each chapter starts with a quote from different sources that range from Pope Francis to Pierce Brosnan to John Steinbeck all of which, in a way, foreshadow or give a hint as to what is coming in that chapter. Find yourself a favorite chair, a cool beverage and make yourself comfortable as you may find the book hard to put down. The book is based on a true experience and the "villian" is an evil and disturbing character. Book was reviewed in the Catholic Spirit and book clubs are choosing it for discussion of good and evil.
