Pope Francis has declared the year 2016 to be a Jubilee Year of Mercy. This holy card commemorates the occasion. The holy card is a gold embossed Italian produced card that measures 2 by 4 inches. The front of the card has a colorful design that features an image of Christ as the Good Shepherd carrying, not a sheep, but a person across His shoulders. The verse "Merciful like the Father" runs up one side of the card. The back of the card has a prayer giving examples of situations where God has shown mercy, expressing gratitude for the mercy God has granted to us and asking that the one praying be merciful to those around him or her as the Father is merciful.
