Product Design
A unique version of Christian art, triptychs form a set of three hinged panels side by side bearing pictures of religious images. The middle panel is always the largest and features the central image, while the two smaller side panels feature related inspirational images. Originally from the Greek word, triptychos, the word triptych arose into the medieval period from the name of a Roman writing tablet, which had two hinged panels surrounding a central one.
This particular triptych features the serene image of Our Lady of Grace surrounded by an angel on either side.
