2017 was the 100th anniversary of the appearance of Mary to three children at Fatima in Portugal. Commemorating the Fatima apparitions is this stunning statue of Mary where she is presented as Our Lady of Fatima. This St. Fatima statue shows Mary in the traditional pose standing with her hands folded and looking down as if she sees the children kneeling before her. The St. Fatima statue stands 20-1/2 inches high and features Mary dressed in lovely white robes, wearing a glorious gold crown and standing on a white cloud. The outer robe features a border of subtle glitter which is adorned with small colored crystals and gold spirals all of which add a majestic look to the statue. White doves sit on the clouds beneath her feet. Her figure is standing on and attached to a secure attractive base. The St. Fatima statue is made of durable plastic with Mary having glass eyes.
During one of her appearances to the children and a very large group of pilgrims, a miracle which had been promised by Mary occurred where the sun appeared to dance in the sky. Two important things asked of the children by Mary during her appearances to them were to urge the children to pray the Rosary to help bring peace to the world and to develop a devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The two younger children were canonized in 2017. The statue is made in Portugal.
