This unique olive wood bead strand is designed with Jesus Beads that originated in the tradition of the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches. Makes a great prayer aid to connect more deeply with God using the “Chotki” or strand of 100 olive wood Jesus Beads along with a silent “breath prayer.” The silent breath prayer with “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God” is prayed on inhalation and “have mercy on me, a sinner” is prayed on the exhalation. The Jesus Prayer, or the Prayer of the Heart, invokes the Holy Name. There is a card included that tells of this tradition.

Made from the pruned wood from olive trees that live on the hills of Bethlehem and Jerusalem, each Jesus Beads strand is unique with no two being exactly alike. The Jesus Bead strand is made with a brown cord and has a Jerusalem cross hanging in the center laser cut from olive wood. A small, cotton pouch with the Jerusalem cross design on one side is included with your purchase to keep your Jesus Bead strand in when you are not using it. It is small enough to keep in a purse, pocket, briefcase, or backpack.
