The oval medal on our St. Sebastian necklace is crafted from the finest sterling silver and measures 1-1/16" high by 3/4" wide. St. Sebastian was an early Christian martyr. Legend has it that the he was sentenced to death by arrows. The arrows failed to kill him and after his miraculous recovery, he was sentenced to death by clubbing. He is the patron saint of athletes, archery, funeral directors, gardeners, potters, iron and lead workers. The medal hangs on a 24" chain that is made of surgical stainless steel to prevent corrosion and tarnishing. The 24" chain is designed to slip over the head and fits most men and teen boys.

The front of this handsome St. Sebastian medal on the necklace depicts him in the traditional manner with arrows in his body and an angel above him. The back of the medal is blank giving you an opportunity to add a date or message by a local jeweler.
