The story is told by a Mama Bear as she tells her little bear cub how she asks God to keep the cub safe, help it grow, help it love God, be good to others and more. Delightful illustrations by Frank Endersby help bring the message to a child in a meaningful way. I Prayed For You is a board book so is easy for small children to hold on to and handle.
The book starts with a simple room and the words "Before you were born, I asked God for something special. I asked Him for you." at the top of the page. At the bottom of the page is the prayer Mama said which reads "Dear loving Father in heaven above, send a sweet baby for Mama to love." This would be a nice gift to give as a baby shower gift or new baby gift. It is a book a mother will enjoy and delight in reading to and with her children for years to come creating special moments they will both remember.
