Product Details
The picture "Gratitude" was developed in the 1960's by Jack Garren as a companion piece to the popular picture "Grace". Where "Grace" features an elderly man praying, "Gratitude" shows an elderly woman in the same position but facing the opposite direction. Slightly different items are on the table but you still see the Bible displayed. This print of "Gratitude" comes under clear glass in a classic styled solid wood gold frame with a finished size measuring 13 by 16 inches.
Jack Garren's grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Copple, was chosen to be the subject of the photo. Her family had been told for many years that Copple's father resembled the man shown in the "Grace" picture and, since she resembled her father, Mrs. Copple turned out to be the perfect choice. The "Gratitude" print became as popular as "Grace" and many times the two are bought together and hung as a set. The picture would be lovely to give as a housewarming gift by itself or with the "Grace" picture. Also comes in smaller 10 by 13 inch size item N17617.
