Written from a positive view point the book does not go into theology or politics or dwell on negatives but tries to "show how gay Catholics can love and be loved while adhering to Chruch teaching". She deals in great detail with "vocation", what it is and why it matters.
What are the problems with being faithful that are common to everyone whether gay or not? She realizes "I now see my task much more simply, as the discernment and living out of my vocations: figuring out how God is calling me to love and then pouring myself out into that love." The back of the book gives helpful appendices with resources that are available and which she feels will be of help to gay Catholics including one with suggestions on how anyone, whether gay or straight can make the Church a more welcoming place for same sex people.
