Every Day is a Gift is a book that gives those with little time for prayer or meditation the means to have at least a few moments each day to do so. Each day includes a brief Scripture verse, a quotation from the writings of the saints and a meaningful prayer. The book has a green imitation leather cover, is illustrated, is printed in two colors and has a ribbon marker.
Frederick Shroeder gives a brief introduction to the book in which he points out the "Every day is a gift from God for every person." What makes those days gifts is being close to God especially in prayer. The scripture verse from one day reads in part "Do not judge so that in turn you may not be judged" which is from Matthew 7:1-2. The reflection points out how the rush to judgment should be avoided and the prayer asks that the one praying have the desire to judge others curbed. Every Day is a Gift is a book that will be a gift to those trying to find a few minutes each day to spend time in prayer and reflection.
