The words, “EASTER WATER” are printed in red on the front of the approximately 2 ounce capacity holy water bottle. Measuring 3-3/4”H x 1-5/8”W x ”D, the white cap easily snaps back to open. The cap is hinged so you will not lose the lid. Many of the faithful want to have access to the Easter Water that is blessed in special ceremonies on Holy Saturday at sunrise (in the Catholic Church). In addition, part of the ceremony involves lowering the Easter Candle into blessed water three times symbolizing the death and rebirth of Jesus Christ. The Easter water also holds the repentance of sin and rebirth into a new life with Christ.
In addition, part of the blessed water is set aside for use in church sacraments and for the faithful to take home.
