On a soft creamy ceramic glaze, there are decorative elements along with the verses of the Broken Chain poem. The first verse of Tranmer’s Broken chain poem on the plaque begins with, “We little knew the morning that God was going to call your name. In life we Loved you dearly, in death we do the same.”
In the final verse of the Broken Chain plaque, the words read, “Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again."
