Rosaries are a traditional gift given at the time of a child's First Communion and are often the first rosary a child may receive. This rosary with 6mm hematite beads will be a special rosary for the boy to receive whether for First Communion or any another occasion especially if it is the important and memorable first rosary. The beads are a dark gray hematite color and the crucifix is made of silver oxide and black enamel which gives you a nice shading variation. The center or joiner is in the shape of a chalice which makes the rosary a perfect First Communion gift. The center also features the silver oxide which gives the rosary a nice, coordinated finished look. Of particular interest are the unique small cross medals which serve as the separators between each decade of the rosary.
This rosary comes in an attractive black leatherette gift box for ease in giving while, at the same time, giving the boy a secure place to store the rosary when not in use. The rosary would be a memorable gift to receive from parents, grandparents or godparents.
