This hardcover book presents biographies of 31 men telling the stories of their lives, why they are important in the church and the day of the year on which their special feast day is celebrated. Each saint also has a colorful illustration that presents to some extent an image of how or why they were important in the Church. Heroes of God is a hardcover book with 64 informative pages written in simple and easy to understand language.
Saints are an integral part of the Church, and this book introduces children to important and relevant male saints from St. Aloysius Gonzaga to St. Jude to St. Vincent de Paul. Boys are presented with men who give good examples of how to live a life of faith, love, and compassion. Young boys are encouraged to pick one or more of the saints and to try to live as the saint did. This can develop into the saint he chooses as his Confirmation saint. It is never too early to introduce children to people who are called "saints" in the Catholic Church and this book, Heroes of God presents wonderful examples for young boys to look at and emulate.
