Bible Day by Day Daily Meditations With the Holy Spirit, by Rev. John C. Kersten S.V.D., is a book of "minute" Bible meditations for every day of the year. Each day includes a short Scripture text and then a brief reflection on that text. In the "preface, Rev. Kersten states that he want the reader to meditate on the word of God (the scripture presented) and not on his words (the meditation). Bible Day by Day has a black vinyl cover, is printed in 2 colors, is illustrated and has a convenient ribbon marker.
At the beginning of the daily readings, Rev. Kersten has included a "Prayer after reading Sacred Scripture" which the reader can use each day although Kersten encourages "never do your reflective Bible reading without a prayer that spontaneously sprouts from it". If you are one of those people who are pressed for time and find it hard to spend a few minutes each day in prayer and meditation, Bible Day by Day is a book you will appreciate having and reading.
